In 2021, DevelopmentWA engaged Artify to provide public art consultancy services for the Montario Quarter development in Shenton Park, beginning with a comprehensive Public Art Strategy to guide public art and interpretation across the precinct through to 2030.

Shaped in close collaboration with Noongar Cultural Advisors Barry McGuire and Carol Innes of Soft Earth, the strategy responded to the site's significance as a place of healing, gathering and renewal. Drawing on cultural and historical research, Artify developed the curatorial vision Coalesce, with the themes Cycle and Renewal, exploring regeneration and care for Country. The native bushland of the Woodland Precinct became the setting for a suite of interpretive works, from sculpture to patterns embedded in shelters and surfaces.

The first stage was delivered through Artify's Design Assist Program. Noongar artists Julianne Wade, Marcia McGuire and Melissa Spillman took part in a three-day workshop, supported by Artify, UAP, Urbis and the Cultural Advisors, to develop their concepts. Julianne Wade was commissioned to create Balga Koort, a cast aluminium sculpture etched with designs of the balga tree, refined with UAP at their Brisbane workshop ahead of fabrication. Marcia McGuire and Melissa Spillman developed integrated feature screens, groundplane artworks and play sculptures referencing bush medicine and healing traditions connected to the precinct.
