Artify was appointed by the City of Stirling to provide public art consultancy for the Lake Gwelup project. To support the commission, Artify facilitated a Design Assist workshop with two Noongar artists, who worked closely with fabricator and design mentor Jahne Rees to develop their concept designs.

The workshop offered a hands-on learning experience, immersing the artists in the site's natural surroundings and guiding them through the essentials of public art creation, from idea generation and concept development to fabrication techniques.

The public art for Lake Gwelup is conceived as an interpretive journey celebrating Noongar culture, fostering connection, exchange and discovery, and deepening the community's engagement with local heritage and the cultural landscape of the site.
