Artify was engaged as Public Art Coordinator in 2023 to manage and facilitate the delivery of the METRONET Morley to Ellenbrook Line (MEL) Public Art Program. Working collaboratively with the project team and stakeholders, Artify led the development of artist briefs and procurement processes, and project managed the delivery of artworks through to completion.

The MEL Project forms part of a staged initiative to improve and integrate transport across Perth's north-eastern corridor, delivering approximately 21km of rail infrastructure and ancillary works to support passenger rail between Bayswater and Ellenbrook. It includes the design and delivery of five stations with inter-modal bus and rail, along with parking and associated roadworks at Morley, Noranda, Malaga, Whiteman Park and Ellenbrook, and ancillary works at Bayswater Station.

The project offered a rich opportunity to reflect the character, culture and heritage of the corridor and its surrounding areas, through the planning, design and integration of art and Noongar cultural content.

Artify managed 20 artists in the delivery of artworks, with a staged installation through early to mid 2024.
