Penelope Forlano /
Project and Design Lead
Penelope joined Artify in 2025 as Project and Design Lead, bringing over 25 years of experience in public art, architecture, design, and academia. She specialises in integrated artworks that tell stories of place, connect communities, and transform the built environment, guiding projects from strategy through to delivery.
Her practice is underpinned by a PhD from Curtin University, where she investigated how architectural components can embed cultural and kinship narratives. This philosophy continues to shape her work with architects, engineers, fabricators, and Aboriginal Elders and artists, ensuring design integrity and cultural respect across complex projects.
Drawing on 10 years of designing and managing interior refurbishments up to 15,000 sqm in London and Perth, she applies this expertise to public art project management. Her artwork has been recognized nationally and internationally, including in major collections such as the Parliament of Western Australia, AGWA, ECU, and the Louis Vuitton Art Collection.
