Project Lead

Beth Smallwood is an experienced public art project manager with over a decade of experience delivering complex art projects across metropolitan and regional Australia. Since joining Artify in 2021, Beth has led the delivery of large-scale, multi-site programs involving both emerging and established artists, with a strong focus on cultural responsiveness and community engagement.

Her career includes eight years working with FORM, where she facilitated dozens of public art commissions and co-facilitated the acclaimed Land.Mark.Art professional development program for First Nations artists. Beth brings deep experience in all phases of public art commissioning, from curatorial development and contracting to artist coordination and on-site delivery. She specialises in navigating complex stakeholder relationships, government procurement, and best-practice artist engagement.

Beth recently successfully delivered the METRONET Morley-Ellenbrook Line public art program, overseeing 20 artworks across six stations. She is currently in the final stages of delivering the METRONET Victoria Park - Canning Level Crossing Removal Project across five stations and 7km of public parkland.
